Before you pay
Rental terms
Every rule that decides what you pay, in one place. The figures below are the ones your booking uses.
Paying
- You pay 25 % of the total online to confirm the booking.
- The rest is paid at pickup, or online any time before it from your booking page.
- Prices are charged in USD. Amounts in other currencies are a guide at reference rates; your bank sets the final rate.
- A car is held for 30 minutes while you pay; an unpaid booking is released after that.
Cancelling and changing
- Cancel for free until 48 hours before pickup: the advance comes back in full.
- Cancelling within 48 hours of pickup keeps one day's rental; the rest of the advance comes back.
- After the pickup time a booking can no longer be cancelled online; if you do not come, the advance is kept.
- Dates, places and extras can be changed online until 48 hours before pickup; the new price is shown before you confirm.
Card deposit
- At pickup a deposit is held on the driver's card. It is a hold, not a charge.
- After the return, open charges (fuel, damage, tolls) are taken from the hold and the rest is released; after a clean return the whole hold is released. Full insurance halves the deposit.

Driver and licence
- The driver must be at least 21 years old on the pickup day.
- Drivers under 25 pay a young-driver fee of $25 a day, at most $250 per rental.
- A full driving licence that stays valid until the return date; upload both sides before pickup and bring it with you.
- Licence images are deleted 30 days after the return.
Fuel and miles
- Full to full: you get the car with a full tank and bring it back full.
- Each missing eighth of a tank is charged at $12.
- Mileage is unlimited.
Pickup and return
- Rental days run in 24-hour periods from the pickup time, with 59 minutes' grace; a later return can be charged as a late return.
- Returning to the other office costs $35 once.
- Hotel delivery and collection run from 08:00 to 21:00; the fee depends on the hotel's area and is shown in the price.
Tolls
- Toll pass (SunPass): $11 a day, at most $55 per rental, so you drive through toll lanes without stopping.
- Tolls themselves are charged at cost after the return.
Condition and damage
- At pickup and at return the car is photographed from six sides and existing marks are drawn on a diagram you sign.
- You get the same report by email and on your booking page, pickup and return side by side.
- New damage found at the return is charged after the return, shown to you with its photos first.
Taxes
- Every price includes the Florida rental car surcharge ($2 a day for the first 30 days) and 6.5 % sales tax, each on its own line.
